Zone of saturation

The term 'Zone of saturation' as it applies to the area of the weather can be defined as ' In hydrologic terms, the locus of points below the water table where soil pores are filled with water. This is also called the phreatic zone'.

The term 'Zone of saturation' as it applies to the area of reclamation can be defined as ' The soil or rock located below the top of the ground water table that is saturated with water. See water table'.
